What you collect in a busy month
Your allowance is counted each month, so size it on a heavy month rather than an average one. A year's figure divided by twelve will do if that is the one you have.

Questions about the price
What happens if I go over my tonnage in a month?
Nothing you have already collected is refused or lost. Work a driver or a carrier has done still records, because refusing it would leave a real waste movement with no record of it. What pauses is booking new collections from the office, and TreadTrace warns you at 85% of the allowance rather than at the end. Moving up a plan clears it.
When does the allowance reset?
Every month, on the day your subscription renews. An allowance is never averaged across the year and never carried forward, which is why the picker above asks about a busy month rather than a typical one.
What counts towards it, the collection or the tip?
The weight you collect, measured the same way your own invoices measure it: the weighbridge net where there is a ticket, and the grade's average weight where there is not. The tonnage you are billed against and the tonnage your own invoices are struck on are the same figure, so your paperwork can always check ours.
Why is the allowance in tonnes when we count tyres?
Because weight is the one thing every tyre shares, and it is what a tip site measures and what Defra is told. A car tyre, a truck tyre and a motorcycle tyre are very different things to count and the same thing to weigh. The tyre counts on this page are a picture of that weight, and each is marked as an approximation.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, at any time, and you would normally move up the month you outgrow a plan rather than wait. Your data, your people and your history do not move with you: the plan is only how much you may tip.
Is there a contract?
No. Every plan is paid monthly, with no commitment and no setup fee. Stop at the end of any month and nothing further is charged.
Is there a charge per user or per driver?
No. A plan covers the whole organisation: unlimited office users and unlimited drivers, and every feature in it. The four sizes are sizes, not tiers, so nothing is held back for a bigger one.
What is Tip only for?
A site that receives loads and runs no rounds of its own. It keeps the tip log and files each load with Defra, with no tonnage limit, for £49 a month. Collections, the planner and invoicing are not in it; move to a size the day you need them.
What if we tip more than the largest plan?
Talk to us. Scale carries 2,000 t a month, and a yard above that is priced on its own weights rather than off a page.
